About
With over 22 years as a professional photographer, Roy has the experience and quality you would expect to find in France, New York, or L.A. However, because of his love and passion for the people of Southern Utah, he has nestled his home in the beautiful red rocks of Utah’s Dixie.
Roy has personally photographed over one thousand weddings. In addition, he has photographed thousands of Bridals, Families, Children, and other Portraits. His instinct powers him to capture the perfect expression with artful composition.
Although instinct and “the eye” are very important, Roy also knows the importance of appropriate education. Roy studied photography though-out his schooling and continued learning with a 4 year apprenticeship with Master Photographer Van Frasier. Roy now trains other photographers and has taught classes for Professional Photographers of America.
Proper equipment is an essential element in creating imagery that qualifies as Artwork. A great photographer can only take good photographs if the proper equipment is used. Roy has invested over One Hundred Thousand dollars in his professional equipment. This ensures that Roy’s instinct and creativity will result in an image as true and memorable as the day itself.
We invite you to visit our studio, meet Roy, and discover how his personality and artwork make him the right choice as your personal photographer.
A Special Note for Brides and Weddings.
A Brides relationship to her personal photographer is of paramount importance when selecting her wedding photographer. Weather you chose Roy Pryor Photography or another studio, please make sure you select a photographer based on the following two major points.
First: Visit the studio and talk with the photographer. Ask him or her questions about their experience, equipment, and/or references. Do they display confidence without arrogance? Are you comfortable with them as a professional in their field? Do they listen to your ideas and try to understand exactly what you want?
Second: View the prospective photographers artwork. Does it suit your taste? Do you like it? In your mind, does it balance trendiness with the longevity of classic composition? Is it something you can see your grandchildren viewing with pleasure, rather than mocking humor?
Avoid making a photographer selection based solely on price. Remember there is a difference between price and cost. As with many choices in life, the cheapest often leads to unhappiness and ultimately costs the most. Roy Pryor Photography is committed to providing you the lowest “Cost” wedding overage available in St George and surrounding areas. Washington County issued 1,194 marriage licenses in 2008. That is an average of over 99 weddings per month. Roy Pryor Photography currently accepts 51 weddings per year. We do this because we believe that EVERY Bride should have a premier personal experience on her special day.
We hand retouch your entire wedding prior to delivery. An average three hour wedding package often receives over 25 hours of retouching. This time allows for any special effects you may wish to add such as color flowers on black & white, special color and contrast enhancements, or any other artistic desire of your imagination.
